SLAUGHTER / STRAPPADO Drummer Brian Lourie verstarb am 2. Oktober an einer Herzattacke. R.I.P. !
Von der Band gibt es das folgende offizielle Statement:
"with sad and heavy hearts we truly have terrible news to share....long time SLAUGHTER/STRAPPADO drummer BRIAN LOURIE has passed away at the very young age of 39....in the early hours of thursday oct 2 BRIAN suffered a major heart attack and sadly passed away.Autopsy results showed that he had an enlarged heart which caused this terrible tragedy.BRIAN was a huge part of SLAUGHTER/STRAPPADO!! Great drumming and song writing skills,as well as being one of the funniest guys we have ever met.BRIAN lived life to the fullest....he worked hard and partied hard!!! There was no halfway point...it was all or nothing and he always chose to dive head first into the shallow end of the pool. It has only been a few days but he is already greatly missed by family,friends and of course bandmates which me,Terry,Mike,Bobby,Nick were all of the above. We will miss him deeply.....we love you bro...we will jam again one day."
